Ultrasounds provide vital information regarding the general health and status of a pregnancy. An ultrasound will tell you if your pregnancy is viable by determining if there is a heartbeat and if the pregnancy is located in the uterus. An ultrasound will also tell you how far along you are. This information may determine what options are available to you. Ultrasounds are provided by our licensed Nurse Practitioners and licensed Registered Nurses.
If you are pregnant and considering abortion, it is important to be tested for STDs before making a decision. Any surgical procedure can be complicated by an infection. You may have an STD and not know it because oftentimes, symptoms are not present. If left untreated, chlamydia and gonorrhea infections can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility in women, and ectopic pregnancy.
