My stomach turned as I watched the footage. My heart sank as I watched the perp flippantly talk about her chop shop. My blood boiled as she did this right out in the open while eating a salad and drinking a glass of wine. She saw no need to whisper or speak in code as she laid out her business strategy to her buyers. This person is proud of the work she is doing. She is proud of the “profession” she is in. She is an expert in chopping and she is allowed to operate without fear of prosecution.

The perp I am referring to is not a rough neck that steals cars and sells off its parts. The perp I am referring to is not a mob member seeking out ways to “clean” their money. Instead, the perp I am referring to works for an organization that has massive support in our country. This perp’s organization actually receives millions of dollars from our own federal government. This organization is backed by members of congress, and yes, even the man currently residing in the White House. The perp I am referring to is Dr. Deborah Nucatola. Dr. Nucatola is the Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. In this role, Dr. Nucatola oversees all medical services for each Planned Parenthood location.

Throughout the video, this “great” doctor speaks about abortion and how there is a market out there for body parts of aborted fetuses. In essence, Dr. Nucatola admits to overseeing an organ chop shop. She admits to crimes. She admits that they are having conversations behind closed doors about harvesting organs. She admits to offering partial birth abortions. This medical “professional” admits to “being very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m going to basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”

Dr. Nucatola is not referring to a junk yard made up of old cars. She is not referring to a machine shop that seeks to recycle used parts. She is not even talking about willing participants that have signed up to be organ donors. Instead, Dr. Nucatola, is referring to actual human lives that are being aborted. She is discussing lives as if they are trash or simply recycled material. Her candor doesn’t stop with the heart, lungs, and liver. Unfortunately, she is also pretty good at harvesting the calvarium, or the skullcap, from these aborted fetuses. She boasts as she discusses the process: “And with the calvarium, in general, some people will actually try to change the presentation so that it’s not vertex…So if you do it starting from the breech presentation, there’s dilation that happens as the case goes on, and often, the last step, you can evacuate an intact calvarium at the end.”

I realize that many will act as if Dr. Nucatola is some lone wolf with a mission apart from the greater Planned Parenthood organization. I know some will attempt to paint this organization as a victim that continues to get attacked by those “wacky” pro-life people. I know that many will simply close their blinds and act as if none of this is happening. I understand your concerns and to you I simply offer another quote: “At the national office, we have a Litigation and Law Department which just really doesn’t want us to be the middle people for this issue right now. But I will tell you that behind closed doors these conversations are happening with the affiliates.”

Planned Parenthood is a franchise. A franchise with affiliates all over the country. A franchise that is funded greatly by tax dollars. A franchise that should be held to a certain standard, if, for no other reason, than all the funds they are receiving from tax payers. This recent video is not of a volunteer or a recent college graduate stumbling over talking points. This video exposes what the executives in this organization believe. It actually shows their true colors. We now see that profits are the goal. Profits from abortion and apparently the selling of body parts.

I am appalled at this revelation. I am appalled that this is able to happen under our noses. I am appalled that much of this is happening with the support of our tax dollars. This is not a simple pro-life or pro-choice issue. There are laws already on the books addressing what this doctor is celebrating. Will there be an investigation? Will there be an outcry? Will there be even a peep from DC?

Where have we come to as a nation that this type of “work” is allowed? I cannot help but wonder if this video showed a veterinarian instead of Dr. Nucatola discussing the mutilating of unborn puppies or kittens how much of an outcry we might see. I, unfortunately, believe that every media outlet would pick up the story and that the veterinarian would have his license stripped and be sent to prison immediately.

I do not know what the outcome of this will be, but I do know that this is a cause for concern. We as a society have devalued life in such a large way that we aren’t even shocked anymore by what we see. We watch as ISIS kills indiscriminately, as massive shootings continue, and as random acts of violence become the norm. When will our watching turn to action? When will our indifference turn to caring? When will we lock arms and look at life as something special?

I pray that this recent story will cause an outcry. I pray that sensible people can stand together and oppose the mutilation for profit of these innocent lives. I pray that our leaders will stand firm and stand strong as justice prevails.

We plan to stand up for those that cannot stand for themselves. We plan to engage in the debate and not stop until life is celebrated.
